Our Approach to Safety

Building a fun, safe space for everyone.

Safety First: At Askwave, safety is our top priority. We believe you should be able to express yourself anonymously without fear of harassment or bullying. We use advanced technology and community tools to keep our platform safe.

⚠️ Zero-Tolerance Policy

Askwave has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Violations result in immediate permanent bans.

Empowering You with Safety Tools

We give you the control to manage your experience on Askwave:

  • Blocking: You can block specific senders instantly. Even though messages are anonymous to you, our system can identify the sender's device and prevent them from messaging you again.
  • Reporting: If a message slips through our filters, you can report it with a single tap. Our team reviews reports to improve our safety systems.
  • Delete: You can delete any message you don't want to see or answer.

Anonymity with Accountability

Anonymity should not be a shield for bad behavior. While senders are anonymous to recipients, they are not anonymous to Askwave.

We retain technical data such as IP addresses and device IDs to identify and ban users who violate our community guidelines. We have a zero-tolerance policy for bullying and harassment.

We cooperate with law enforcement and will provide data in response to valid legal requests to address safety issues or threats.

Community Guidelines

To keep Askwave fun and safe, we strictly prohibit:

  • Bullying, harassment, and hate speech.
  • Threats of violence or harm.
  • Sexually explicit content or solicitation.
  • Sharing private information (doxing).

Violating these guidelines will result in a permanent ban from the platform.

For a complete list of prohibited content and our enforcement policies, see our Zero-Tolerance Policy in our Terms & Conditions.
